I have talked a bit about feeling a little bit tired of dresses. It’s a weird shift. I’ve always been a dresses girl, but lately . . . I just can’t. I’m not sure what is going on, I think I feel a little more pulled together in separates right now. I have been quietly overhauling my closet. The pieces I feel best in right now are jeans, oxfords, and (if I am getting more dressed up), a lady jacket or a silky blouse. We tackled lady jackets a few weeks ago; the timing felt right for a blouses edit.
I love these sorts of tops. They feel tailored and femine, they flatter the body without being constricting . . . they are easy, yet still convey effort and polish. Rohé and Kallmeyer have quickly become two of my favorite brands, and both have, well, a top-notch selection of tops! On the note of Rohé, one of my girlfriends sold me on this black jersey scarf top (now on sale). At her advice, I went one size up.
