I love anything and everything that makes my packing and travel life easier. Here are another 10 useful travel helpers I’m glad I packed and took on a river cruise in Central Europe. Want more travel helpers? Check out part 1 and part 2.

Another 10 useful travel helpers
1. Portable tripod
I know this is probably niche to content creators but it’s also something that is helpful if you are travelling solo. This is a tripod that fits easily into a day bag (see below) and it meant that I could easily capture photos and videos for this work assignment. Do exercise caution in cities where phone stealing is rife.

2. Timeshifter app
This is the third time I’ve used this app. You add your flight details, whether you drink caffeine and/or take melatonin and it gives you a sleeping/caffeine and sunlight plan leading up to your long haul flight, during and afterwards. I’ve never been able to stick to 100% of the plan but hitting about 75% has helped my jet lag recovery, minimising the days where I’ve felt like I’ve been hit with a brick.

3. Love Basiq wipes
I use these magic wipes in my everyday food magnet life so of course I packed a stash for travel. They quickly and easily remove any food, drink or makeup “accidents”, so helping to minimise laundering while away.

4. CeeClear cosmetic cases
I’m always refining and finding better ways to organise and travel with my skincare, haircare, makeup and medications. I was taken by the design and functionality of these clear cases and decided to pack one large (medication/supplements), three small (one each for skincare, makeup, carry-on) and a mini (for my day bag). Splitting it up my essentials this way was more organised, I could easily see what was inside and easier for packing around my clothes.

5. Orbitkey organisers
I used the Essentials Bag Insert inside my carry-on personal bag (see below). It was great for giving more things in my bag their own “place”, with internal and external pockets. I packed all my cables and other tech items in the 2-1 tech accessory pouch. This design helped to keep everything organised, sorted and compact.

6. First or Nothing One Fit Original sachets
Tell me you’re a menopausal woman travelling without telling me you’re a menopausal woman travelling. I’ll start. I’d been looking at ways I could still have my protein, creatine and other “essentials” while travelling without needing a whole extra suitcase to transport it all. And then I came across these all-in-one sachets. TICK. Now I’m home, I’m still using them (and fighting for them with my 20YO son!). They dissolve super easily by shaking in a small water bottle and the sachets make it so easy to have a stash in your suitcase at the ready.

7. Snap Trvlr Tag Pro – Premium Luggage Tracker
I always travel with my Snap Universal power bank (as featured in previous Travel Helpers posts). On this trip I added the Trvlr Tag Pro to my suitcase as extra “insurance”. It’s rechargeable and connects via Apple’s Find My app so you can track if your luggage has made it with you. And yes, I have Apple AirTags too. What can I say? I’m a safety girl who is at her most calm knowing her luggage is with her.

8. Sony noise cancelling headphones
I’ve had these headphones for more than a year now and love. They are comfortable on and I use the noise cancelling function plus a downloaded Sleep playlist (search in Spotify or Apple to find one) to help me sleep when on a planes.

9. Vestirsi Bella 3-1s tote, backpack, crossbody bags
I’m an OG fan of the Bella 2-1! When the 3-1 with the crossbody strap functionality launched this year, I knew it would be a game changer. I took the XL as my personal bag inflight (yes it does fit under the seat in front of you – even in short haul economy seats). I wore it crossbody through airports, so as to transit hands-free. In my suitcase, I packed the Mini for wearing crossbody for day tours. Having it to the front while walking around cities felt both comfortable and secure.

10. Zoomlite Glide suitcases
Never underestimate the power of a top-opening suitcase when travelling and staying in hotel rooms. I’ve been using Zoomlite suitcases for two years and they go the distance. Value for money they are unbeatable in their class. The Glide range has a scuff-resistant exterior and mine has held up very well. I travel with the Large Checked and Carry-On Pro.
